Vancouver Film Festival 2014

September 4, 2014

This year’s Vancouver Film Festival is coming up quick (September 25- October 10) with many films recently announced and a full program schedule due out today! We Research House Gals will be there to see some of our client’s films along with some other projects that have caught our eye this year.

We are thrilled to see Foundation Features project, Sitting on the Edge of Marlene, as part of the BC Spotlight. Director Ana Valine took home the Leo award for the project earlier this year. Additionally featured as part of the BC Spotlight is notable Canadian Director, Anne Wheeler’s 1989 film, Bye Bye Blues celebrating its 25th anniversary!

We are (of course) looking forward to David Cronenberg’s latest offering, Maps to the Stars, featuring a star studded cast including the amazing Julianne Moore who took home Best Actress for the film at Cannes this year.

As I’m always a fan of films that make me feel good, i will be hoping to catch French film, Love at First Fight, as well as BC Offering, Preggoland, staring Vancouver Actress Sonja Bennet and Directed by Jacob Tierney.

Please come and visit us at the Film and Television Forum October 1-3 at The Research House booth. We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating great film! Happy VIFF!
