Live Action
Clearances are used to help identify any legal issues that may arise & suggest solutions to help you avoid them.
Clearances aren't meant to stifle creativity, in fact, it encourages your creativity! It requires you to:
Think outside the box!
Think outside the galaxy!
A character only known by their first name, or surname, does not require clearance. The less issues you have with names, the more you can focus on story!
When we read scripts, we look for brands/trademarks that could cause a clearance issue. Many of the brands in scripts require permission for use. Some productions simply can't afford the time and money that goes towards acquiring permissions, so as an alternative, business names, brand names, prop items are created by the sheer brilliance of the writer and/or art department.
Many of the Live-Action productions we’ve worked on have appeared on Hallmark, Lifetime, Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV+, Disney Channel, Quibi, Nickelodeon, and many, many more.
